Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Merry Christmas to my Holiday Family.  I really enjoyed visiting you again this year and I hope you enjoyed having me around.  I'm sorry if I caused too much mischief... but I had so much fun.  I hope you like the ornaments I made you.  I have been working on them for quite some time back at the Pole.  Please put them on your little trees in your room every year.  Be kind to your parents and others.  Always obey Mom & Dad and don't give them too much trouble.  Keep studying hard in school and get good grades.  Don't forget to email me with updates throughout the year.  Keep me informed of what is going on in your world.  I will miss you all very much but I will be dropping in from time to time to check on you and to make sure you are staying on the "Nice" list.  You might not see me, but I'll make sure you know I have been here.  I'm off with Santa to head back to see my family and friends and celebrate Christmas.  Enjoy your day and remember how lucky you are to have family to spend time with that love you and always remember... I love you, too.

PS - Sorry the Jolly Guy left the snowman cookie behind.  It's the rule around our place up North that we NEVER eat yellow snow.  HA HA HA.

Beautiful Lights

I would like to say a great big Thank you to C & T for taking me along tonight when they went to see the Christmas Lights.  They went to a place called Fantasy of Lights and it was beautiful.  They took along my blanket and even my bed and held me up so I could see out the windows.  It really was so great and made me feel at home (but without the snow).
I can hardly believe Christmas is so close.  Tonight I found the Twas The Night Before Christmas book.  I decided to sit down and read it... It's one of my favorites.

And while we were driving around tonight in the car, I overheard holiday Mom & Dad say that they were going to take C & T to see a movie tomorrow.  I hope they see Arthur Christmas... I heard it was really good.  Maybe they can take me along... I've never seen a movie in a theater before.  Although, they'd have to keep me hidden since elves aren't very common to see out and about.  I am leaving them coupons for the theater... I'm sure they'll have fun no matter what they see.

I also found holiday Mom's red and green nail polish and decided to use it to paint a little Christmas spirit.  I hope she doesn't mind.

Wild Lights

I spent a lot of time at the Pole tonight.  It's a very exciting time there and I wanted to check and see if there was any last minute prep I could help out with.  I pulled some strings and got my holiday family some admission tickets to go to Columbus to see the Wild Lights at the zoo.  I know they like to go see the lights but they haven't gone yet this year.  I hope they have fun.  I can't believe it's almost Christmas.  I saw that C & T cleaned their rooms very well for their parents.  They did a great job.  The Jolly guy will be pleased and I'm reporting tonight their good behavior.  Great job boys... keep up the good work.

My Favorite Toy

I brought back my favorite toy from the Pole to play with.  It's my toy train.  My dad made it for me and it's been my favorite ever since I opened it on Christmas morning 6 years ago. (Yes, we elves celebrate Christmas too.  It's Jesus' birthday after all not just a holiday for getting gifts.)  He made it special just for me and I take very good care of it so I'll have it for a long time.  It's important to take good care of your things so they last.  Some times I notice that C & T don't take very good care of their things.  I wonder if they know how lucky they are to have so many nice things and toys to play with.  Also, since my dad is a toy maker by trade, it breaks my heart a little to see such good toys treated badly.  I hope that Santa doesn't mistake their behavior for the kind of kids who aren't grateful for what they have and don't take care of their things.  They are very good boys and with the right kind of attitude, I know they will be able to have their toys for many years, just like my favorite train.

I also ate one of Holiday Mom's delicious cookies.  And I brought special Christmas
paper towels for holiday clean ups.  Somehow my turtle friend got stuck in the roll.
I think he was nervous about the train.  He's so silly.

Movie Night

Every year when I visit my holiday family I have to do a movie night.  I just love Christmas movies and tonight my holiday family watched one of my favorite movies... The Polar Express.  It's my favorite because it's a pretty accurate display of what it's really like at the Pole.  Especially the send off that we elves give Santa on Christmas Eve.  It's a very big deal and we really celebrate big.  So, I wanted to make sure I watched it again before Christmas and watch some of my other favorites too.  I hope C & T don't mind me eating some of their candy... and sharing it with my friends.

B-I-N-G-O

Well, back home at the Pole... Monday night is family game night.  I haven't had a family game night since I left to come to Ohio for the holiday... And I sure was missing it.  Back home, we play fun games like Uno, Sorry, and Monopoly but our FAVORITE family game is BINGO.  When I saw this Bingo game in the closet, I knew I had to get my friends together and make a "home away from home" family game night.  I wonder if my holiday family does a game night.  I haven't seen them do one since I've been here, but I know it's easy to get busy around the holidays.  It's important to have fun as a family... that's what makes the holidays so great after all.
And I even won a few games.

I Love Sledding

I love to go sledding.  It's one of my favorite activities to do back at the Pole.  In my spare time, I sled and ski quite a bit.  I stopped back home tonight to visit with the Jolly Guy and turn in my report for the week and while I was there, I picked up my sled.  Of course there's not enough snow back here in Ohio right now to take it out for a spin, so I made my own fun with it.

Gentlemen... Start Your Engines

VROOOOM!  VROOOOM!  The race was on tonight.  We set up a race track with some blue tape I found in the garage and got out some of C & T's old Matchbox cars and we were off to the races.  A little magic powder and there they were... racing for the finish line.
We had so much fun watching them go around the track all night.  Even though we never had a clear winner, we each picked our favorite and cheered that car on.  (My favorite was the red convertible)  I think I have nearly lost my voice from cheering.

Even Cooper was enjoying the fun.

A Little "Sun"

Made myself a nice little spot to "hang" out tonight.  I thought a hammock sounded like a great place to relax.  And while I was relaxing there, I thought I'd work on my tan.  Since Ohio isn't really sunny this time of year, I had to create my own sun tanning experience.  A light turned on full blast and some aluminum foil and I was set.  A little snooze, a little "sun"... aahhhh... this is the life.

Yum!

I spent time tonight reading some Christmas cards from my elf friends.  I had 3 new cards tonight.  One from Comet and Snoopy visiting a family in Virginia.  One from Hannah, Abby and Noah and the rest of the elf gang visiting South Carolina.  And one from Hermy staying in North Carolina for the Holiday.  Gee I love getting mail from my friends while we're so far from home.  I also hung some more Christmas lights around the house and settled in with some candy and syrup for snack.  I can't believe Christmas is just a little more than a week away.  I'm so excited.

Get well soon

One of the boys is very sick tonight so I decided not to do any mischief.  I don't want to make any trouble for holiday mom & dad.  I decided I would just play hide and seek tonight.  I hope they remember to look for me.

So Handsome

Tonight I went out for a bit to watch T's Christmas performance.  I missed slipping into their car before they left.  Luckily, they have two vehicles and I was able to drive their van so I didn't miss his performance.  He sang a song about hip-hop reindeer that I thought was really funny.  He did a really good job singing.  And, I was able to make it back home before they even knew I was gone.  And the great thing about the drive was I got to listen to Christmas music on the radio REALLY LOUDLY.  After everyone went to bed, I decorated the tree a bit more.
I also spent some time paying back the boys for a little trick they played on me the other night.  They gave me a mustache with a marker, so I wondered what they'd look like with one.  I think they're very handsome.  I even gave one Holiday Mom one... Holiday Dad already has one of his own.

Time For A Little Baking

I overheard Holiday Mom & Dad talking tonight about getting some Christmas baking done soon.  I wondered where all the goodies were.  I found Holiday Mom's list of things she wants to make and I decided to help her with some of it.
But, I figured after the last baking disaster I helped with (with flour and sprinkles all over) she'd probably appreciate a different kind of help this year.  So, I headed back to the Pole to see if my Mom could whip something up really quick.  But, Mom is very very busy right now getting the last of the toys packaged.  So, instead she suggested I bring back one of the baking kits we have at the Pole.  I thought this was a great idea.  I hope this helps my family out.  It sure looks like a lot of fun.
