Time sure flies when I'm here visiting my Holiday Family. I can't believe C & T only have ONE day of school left before Christmas break. I bet the last day of school will be full of fun! I bet they'll have treats and play games and watch movies and drink syrup! Oh, wait, drinking syrup is not a human thing... that's what we Elves do! Speaking of treats, I couldn't help but notice that Holiday Mom was busy baking today. Hope she doesn't mind me taking a nibble of some of her cookies.

My Favorite Way to Snack
I LOVE OREO COOKIES!!! I love them. We eat them all the time back at The Pole usually with milk. Holiday Mom brought home a container of Oreo cookies from the grocery store today. Double stuffed ones... Yum! So, naturally, I had to have some. My favorite part of the Oreo is the white in the middle... I generally just eat the filling and leave the chocolate cookie behind. I hope someone in the house likes the chocolate cookie part.

These Cookies Are Stale
When I got up tonight and walked around the house doing my nightly inspection to see how well the 2 boys have been cleaning up after themselves, I had to blink twice... three... four times. In the back room of the house, there was a new Christmas tree! It is beautiful. It has colored lights and all these wonderful memory ornaments. A had a tear in my eye when I saw the ornaments I've gotten "C" and "T" over the years hung proudly on the tree. Oh, it is a magical looking tree! I had to run back into the living room to see if there was still a Christmas tree in there. Yep, there is. So, my Holiday Family has two big beautiful trees in the house now and I also noticed the boys have their little Christmas trees in their rooms now too. Oh, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I wanted to contribute to the winter decorating... So, I did a little more decorating for them. I hope they like it.
I worked up such an appetite. I went looking for a sweet treat and found some cookies in a jar labeled "Dog Treats". They must have run out of room for these cookies in the cookie jar. Cooper was chasing me around while I was trying to have a nibble. I found a place to hide so I could have my treat in peace & quiet. But, I have to say... these cookies were a little stale. Holiday Mom might want to consider tossing them out before she does some more holiday baking. I wonder why Cooper was chasing me though... Hmmm.

My Favorite Toy
I brought back my favorite toy from the Pole to play with. It's my toy train. My dad made it for me and it's been my favorite ever since I opened it on Christmas morning 6 years ago. (Yes, we elves celebrate Christmas too. It's Jesus' birthday after all not just a holiday for getting gifts.) He made it special just for me and I take very good care of it so I'll have it for a long time. It's important to take good care of your things so they last. Some times I notice that C & T don't take very good care of their things. I wonder if they know how lucky they are to have so many nice things and toys to play with. Also, since my dad is a toy maker by trade, it breaks my heart a little to see such good toys treated badly. I hope that Santa doesn't mistake their behavior for the kind of kids who aren't grateful for what they have and don't take care of their things. They are very good boys and with the right kind of attitude, I know they will be able to have their toys for many years, just like my favorite train.
I also ate one of Holiday Mom's delicious cookies. And I brought special Christmas
paper towels for holiday clean ups. Somehow my turtle friend got stuck in the roll.
I think he was nervous about the train. He's so silly.
