Merry Christmas To All

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!

I have had such a great time in Ohio this year! I did lots of fun things and best of all, I got to visit my favorite Holiday Family in the whole world! Thanks for letting me come and stay for this holiday season. I spent my last night here packing up my things and giving my Holiday Family goodbye kisses. Even the cat, Melanie, let me pet her and she purred back. (She's not always so friendly!) Cooper was sleeping, but I gave him a kiss and a good pet behind the ears. I think I heard him cry when I finally left the house. I will miss him... He likes to give me rides on his back around the house.

Saying goodbye to C & T is always the hardest. Thank you for writing such a nice note on your dry erase board. I made C & T some new ornaments this year for them to keep and put up on their tree each year. They are candy canes. I stuck one in each of their stockings. And I also brought my Holiday Family a gift this year. Something I've been working on back at The Pole. I hope they love it and I hope they play many, many games together with it.

C & T, please remember to be very good for your Mom and Dad. They love you very much and they are always there for you. Keep up good grades in school, remember... I am always keeping track of you! You are smart, fun, kind, and amazing boys and I love you!

P.S. I keep telling you, those of us from The Pole don't eat yellow snowmen! But, the Jolly Guy got a good chuckle out of seeing your yellow snowman cookie!

The Night Before Christmas 2013

Well, this is it. This is the last night I will be spending in my Holiday Home. The Jolly Guy will be here to pick me up soon. I love coming to Ohio to visit my Holiday Family, but I hate to leave. I miss them during the year, and I know that they miss me, too. As usual, my Christmas tradition on this night is to read The Night Before Christmas. I'm going to grab a cookie and settle in for a long winter's nap.

Wrapping it Up

Christmas is so close! I can't wait for the big day! Holiday Mom & Dad were doing a lot of wrapping of gifts today. I thought I'd get in on the fun. I love wrapping things... anything really! I'm pretty sure C & T will like my wrapping as well. I sort of wrapped them into their rooms... I put wrapping paper over their doorways so they MUST jump through the paper in the morning in order to get out of their rooms. Hehe. What a fun way to start christmas break! I told you, I love wrapping things!

A Welcome Greeting

Boy, it sure isn't looking a lot like Christmas here in Ohio! It's been very warm and all the snow is GONE!! And it's been raining like crazy. There's so much water and melted snow that my Holiday Home looks like there's a small pond in the front yard. Which would be nice... if it was frozen and I could ice skate on it. I sure hope it gets cold again and snows for Christmas here. I brought my Holiday Family a new festive door mat for their home. Thought it would be nice for them to have a place to put their wet shoes! It's even got an elf on it... like me!

Headed Out and About

Well, I slept in tonight! I got to The Pole late and that wasn't very good. But, luckily, I have a very understanding boss. The Jolly Guy is a great guy to work for! Turned in my daily report on C & T and then I went to visit my family. Mom & Dad are doing great. Dad is busy as ever looking over things in the toy dept. He's working on some really great new toy designs. Unfortunately, they'll have to go through testing and won't be available this Christmas... but, look out for some great new stuff next year! Mom made some peppermint pie and it was delicious. My brother and I had to split the last piece... it's a favorite of us both.

By the time I got back to Ohio, there was barely any time left in the night. I heard Holiday Mom & Dad talking about basketball practice in the early morning, so I thought I might tag along to see what it's all about! I hope they don't mind.

Sweet Treats

Time sure flies when I'm here visiting my Holiday Family. I can't believe C & T only have ONE day of school left before Christmas break. I bet the last day of school will be full of fun! I bet they'll have treats and play games and watch movies and drink syrup! Oh, wait, drinking syrup is not a human thing... that's what we Elves do! Speaking of treats, I couldn't help but notice that Holiday Mom was busy baking today. Hope she doesn't mind me taking a nibble of some of her cookies.

It's A Puzzle

It was so funny to see my Holiday Family when they came downstairs and saw all the Christmas bows everywhere! They were surprised. Tonight I brought a Christmas puzzle for my Holiday Family to do. I love doing puzzles. I couldn't help myself, I had to start the puzzle for them!

One Week Until Christmas

IT'S ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS DAY!

I can't wait! I got so excited about it tonight, I decided to decorate the house with Christmas bows! I think it's beautiful... and very festive! I put them everywhere. All of the kitchen got decorated, each and every drawer, cabinet and appliance. I even put some bows in special places I know the boys will visit each morning... like the bathrooms! The place looks GREAT!

A Little Gaming Fun

It's snowing here in Ohio again, C & T got another day off of school.  Seeing them relax today and play some games got me thinking...so I decided to relax a little tonight and play some Angry Birds Seasons on T's tablet.  This is my favorite game, I just love blowing those little guys up.

Special Delivery

Headed out to The Pole tonight with T's letter to Santa. Thanks T for getting that done and placing it in my bed. It has been safely delivered to The Jolly Guy and is currently under review. (I did happen to catch a glimpse at T's name on the list... looks like he's set on Nice right now! Way to go T!) This is the last week of school for C & T before Christmas break. I bet they'll be so excited to have a nice long break. Make it a good week boys!

While I was at The Pole, I picked up a game to bring back to play with my friends. It's a lot of fun. We play it quite often back home. I noticed tonight that Holiday Mom, Holiday Dad, and T were playing the new card games I brought them. Isn't Reindeer Rummy fun?! I love that game. I also love the Crazy 8's game as well. Hopefully my Holiday family will enjoy playing this game, too.

An Elf Hunt

Look high and look low
Round and round I will go
I won't make a sound
Even after I'm found

You'll have to be quick
Don't know how long I'll stick
Search with all of your might
I'll hold on real tight!

Annual Movie Night

Tonight was my annual movie night at my Holiday Family's home. I got out all of the Christmas movies and some candy and cozied up on the couch with friends for a nice Christmas movie marathon. It was fun... just like always. I snuggled up under my blanket and just relaxed. I heard T talking to Holiday Mom about going to the movies this weekend. There's a new Hobbit movie out and the boys really want to see it. I hope they get to go see the movie! Maybe they'll take me along!

Feeling Under the Weather

Tonight I attended C's orchestra Christmas concert. I hopped into Holiday Mom's camera bag and was able to catch the whole show! No one even noticed me poking my head out of the bag. C did a very nice job. The Christmas music was beautiful and, of course, is my favorite music of all... especially when C plays it on his viola.

It is very cold here in Ohio, and I'm afraid I've come down with a bit of the sniffles. I headed back to The Pole to see the doctor. He advised me to stay in bed tonight, take some cold medicine and rest... No Mischief... doctor's orders. Oh well, I suppose it's best to follow the doctor's instructions and get over these sniffles sooner. I'm off to bed for a long winter's nap!

Wiggly Eyes for Everyone

Well, everyone was ready to have fun tonight! We started the night off by jumping on the couch to see how high we could go. That was a lot of fun... Until Rudy fell off the couch. He's alright though. Didn't break any bones (or antlers). He laughed about it but we decided maybe jumping on the couch wasn't such a great idea after all.

I found some really funny eyes in Holiday Mom's crafting supplies. They are called wiggly eyes. Boy, are they hilarious. We tried holding them up to our own eyes, but it's impossible to see where you are going. I thought it would be fun to see what my Holiday Family looks like with them on. We tried to put them on C & T while they were sleeping but the eyes aren't sticky on the back so we couldn't get them to stay put. Then, Rudy had the great idea to try putting tape on the back of the eyes! Voila! It worked! I was afraid if we tried to tape the eyes to C & T, they would wake up... so we did the next best thing. We put wiggly eyes on their pictures! HA HA HA! They are so funny looking! I put wiggly eyes here and there in the house... I even put wiggly eyes on some of Holiday Mom's Christmas decorations. I wonder if she'll notice.

Playing Cards

Well my prank was a big success! The boys woke up and couldn't get dressed because I had swapped their clothes! I put all of C's clothes in T's closet and moved T's clothes to C's closet. Then I hid in T's closet to see his reaction. It was hilarious! What a great prank. Thanks Holiday Mom for moving all the clothes back to their correct location while the boys were at school.

It's hard to believe it's only 2 weeks until Christmas! I'm so excited! I noticed my Holiday Family has put up their second Christmas tree in the back room of their house. It's such a great tree. Just full of all sorts of special ornaments that C & T have made at school or ornaments that just have special meaning. I was very happy to see that they put the ornaments I have given to the boys each year on this special tree. It really made me smile.

Tonight we decided to take it easy. I brought some card games from The Pole for my Holiday Family, so we decided to give them a try. They are really very fun games. I hope my Holiday Family can use them during family game night sometime.
