Happy Birthday to Ollie

It's my birthday!  I went home to The Pole tonight to see my family for a little while.  My mom made me a yummy peppermint pie and they got me a gift certificate to see a movie at Tinsel Motion Pictures (that's the movie theater we elves go to at The Pole).  I can't wait to see a new movie when I get back there after Christmas.  As usual, my friends here at my Holiday Home remembered my birthday too and threw me a big party when I got back!  We had a great time!  We played holiday music on the tv and danced like crazy.  It was such a fun time.  Of course, we also had some delicious birthday cupcakes... MMM... MMM... GOOD!

P.S.  To "T":  I saw that you have been doing very well in school on your rocket math!  Congratulations on passing level A-Z in multiplication.  And, I also saw you received an award for football.  That's great!  Way to go T.

A Night of Relaxation

Tonight I decided to do some yoga and relax.  I think I might have stretched some muscles changing all those photos in the house last night!  We elves do yoga whenever we get sore muscles back at the Pole.  Usually the yoga mats are full all December long because we elves stay up building toys for so long trying to get them done in time for the big night that we get aches and sore muscles a lot!

P.S.  To "C":  Thank you for writing your letter to Santa.  I want you to know that it's been delivered to The Pole and it's in good hands.  Now, I just need "T" to get his letter ready.  I saw that he's started it but it doesn't look complete and please don't forget to leave it in my sleigh bed when it's done.

A little touch of Ollie

I love what Holiday Mom & Dad have done with the house since last Christmas.  And I especially love all the family pictures they have hanging around.  Although, I feel like it's missing something.  Maybe a little touch of Ollie?  Oh yes, that's what it's missing.  It wouldn't be Christmas with my Holiday family if I didn't spruce up the place just a bit!

It's Christmastime in Ohio

Well, It's Christmastime in Ohio and you know what that means.  I'm back in Ohio visiting my Holiday Family!  It took me quite some time to get here since there was a very big blizzard at the Pole before I left and I had to help the other elves clear the paths so everyone could safely get around.  When I finally arrived in Ohio, I was so very tired.  I got my bed set up and fell asleep as soon as I climbed in.  I brought a surprise for the boys who live here.  I've been working on these colored pencils at the Pole for a while now and I'm so excited to bring them with me.  I hope they like them.  Tonight I just did some coloring with some Christmas pages I printed off Holiday Mom's laptop and visited with my old friends here at my Holiday Home.  You remember Rudy who helps me with my mischief and documents it all in photos, don't you?  He's looking great and helping me out again this year.  I love visiting my Holiday Family!

It's Christmas in July!

Well, it's Christmas in July and I requested special permission from the Jolly Guy to return to my family in Ohio for a check up on the boys.  And he agreed!  So, off I went for a night to see my favorite boys... C & T!  My how they have grown just since Christmas last year!  C's room looks very different.  But I like his new bed!

I thought I would put up some decorations to really make it feel like Christmas, but I couldn't find the tree and wreaths and garland and ornaments.  So, I rummaged around the house and finally found something I could use!  Birthday streamers!!  I remembered seeing streamers last year when I visited for Christmas and thank goodness Holiday Mom didn't get rid of them!  I used the help of my pal Rudy (he stays with the family all year long) and we really made it look nice.  We made a Christmas tree with decorations and hung garland from the stair railing.  We decorated the mirror in the dining room and we even found some Christmas lights and decorated the bathroom mirror.  I left a special message on the bathroom mirror so my Holiday family would know I had stopped by.  I sure do miss them a lot during the year.

I'm going to go enjoy a cup of hot cocoa with Rudy.  He's making me a cup right now with lots of marshmallows.  Yum!!  Then I'll head back to the Pole to give my report to the Jolly Guy.  Be good C & T ... I'll see you again in December!

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Merry Christmas to my Holiday Family.  I really enjoyed visiting you again this year and I hope you enjoyed having me around.  I'm sorry if I caused too much mischief... but I had so much fun.  I hope you like the ornaments I made you.  I have been working on them for quite some time back at the Pole.  Please put them on your little trees in your room every year.  Be kind to your parents and others.  Always obey Mom & Dad and don't give them too much trouble.  Keep studying hard in school and get good grades.  Don't forget to email me with updates throughout the year.  Keep me informed of what is going on in your world.  I will miss you all very much but I will be dropping in from time to time to check on you and to make sure you are staying on the "Nice" list.  You might not see me, but I'll make sure you know I have been here.  I'm off with Santa to head back to see my family and friends and celebrate Christmas.  Enjoy your day and remember how lucky you are to have family to spend time with that love you and always remember... I love you, too.

PS - Sorry the Jolly Guy left the snowman cookie behind.  It's the rule around our place up North that we NEVER eat yellow snow.  HA HA HA.

Beautiful Lights

I would like to say a great big Thank you to C & T for taking me along tonight when they went to see the Christmas Lights.  They went to a place called Fantasy of Lights and it was beautiful.  They took along my blanket and even my bed and held me up so I could see out the windows.  It really was so great and made me feel at home (but without the snow).
I can hardly believe Christmas is so close.  Tonight I found the Twas The Night Before Christmas book.  I decided to sit down and read it... It's one of my favorites.

And while we were driving around tonight in the car, I overheard holiday Mom & Dad say that they were going to take C & T to see a movie tomorrow.  I hope they see Arthur Christmas... I heard it was really good.  Maybe they can take me along... I've never seen a movie in a theater before.  Although, they'd have to keep me hidden since elves aren't very common to see out and about.  I am leaving them coupons for the theater... I'm sure they'll have fun no matter what they see.

I also found holiday Mom's red and green nail polish and decided to use it to paint a little Christmas spirit.  I hope she doesn't mind.

Wild Lights

I spent a lot of time at the Pole tonight.  It's a very exciting time there and I wanted to check and see if there was any last minute prep I could help out with.  I pulled some strings and got my holiday family some admission tickets to go to Columbus to see the Wild Lights at the zoo.  I know they like to go see the lights but they haven't gone yet this year.  I hope they have fun.  I can't believe it's almost Christmas.  I saw that C & T cleaned their rooms very well for their parents.  They did a great job.  The Jolly guy will be pleased and I'm reporting tonight their good behavior.  Great job boys... keep up the good work.

My Favorite Toy

I brought back my favorite toy from the Pole to play with.  It's my toy train.  My dad made it for me and it's been my favorite ever since I opened it on Christmas morning 6 years ago. (Yes, we elves celebrate Christmas too.  It's Jesus' birthday after all not just a holiday for getting gifts.)  He made it special just for me and I take very good care of it so I'll have it for a long time.  It's important to take good care of your things so they last.  Some times I notice that C & T don't take very good care of their things.  I wonder if they know how lucky they are to have so many nice things and toys to play with.  Also, since my dad is a toy maker by trade, it breaks my heart a little to see such good toys treated badly.  I hope that Santa doesn't mistake their behavior for the kind of kids who aren't grateful for what they have and don't take care of their things.  They are very good boys and with the right kind of attitude, I know they will be able to have their toys for many years, just like my favorite train.

I also ate one of Holiday Mom's delicious cookies.  And I brought special Christmas
paper towels for holiday clean ups.  Somehow my turtle friend got stuck in the roll.
I think he was nervous about the train.  He's so silly.

Movie Night

Every year when I visit my holiday family I have to do a movie night.  I just love Christmas movies and tonight my holiday family watched one of my favorite movies... The Polar Express.  It's my favorite because it's a pretty accurate display of what it's really like at the Pole.  Especially the send off that we elves give Santa on Christmas Eve.  It's a very big deal and we really celebrate big.  So, I wanted to make sure I watched it again before Christmas and watch some of my other favorites too.  I hope C & T don't mind me eating some of their candy... and sharing it with my friends.

B-I-N-G-O

Well, back home at the Pole... Monday night is family game night.  I haven't had a family game night since I left to come to Ohio for the holiday... And I sure was missing it.  Back home, we play fun games like Uno, Sorry, and Monopoly but our FAVORITE family game is BINGO.  When I saw this Bingo game in the closet, I knew I had to get my friends together and make a "home away from home" family game night.  I wonder if my holiday family does a game night.  I haven't seen them do one since I've been here, but I know it's easy to get busy around the holidays.  It's important to have fun as a family... that's what makes the holidays so great after all.
And I even won a few games.

I Love Sledding

I love to go sledding.  It's one of my favorite activities to do back at the Pole.  In my spare time, I sled and ski quite a bit.  I stopped back home tonight to visit with the Jolly Guy and turn in my report for the week and while I was there, I picked up my sled.  Of course there's not enough snow back here in Ohio right now to take it out for a spin, so I made my own fun with it.
